Gadd Brook

The Gadd Brook project is the latest addition to the luxury condominium homes located at the Lincoln Peak base area at Sugarbush Resort. The HVAC system consists of highly efficient, water to water heat pumps with one or two heat pumps located in each unit. Supplemental heat is provided from two 94% efficient LP gas fired boilers. Central domestic hot water is provided from two indirect heated storage tanks. Each unit has an Energy Recovery ventilator for fresh air.

Jay Peak Tram Haus Lodge

The Tram Haus Lodge was the first in a series of new hotels and amusement areas to be constructed at Jay Peak. The hotel’s HVAC system is based on a water to water heat pump system with one or two separate vertical heat pumps in each unit. The building has a restaurant, bar, ski rental area, parking garage, and other hotel support areas. Supplemental heat is provided from two 1,500 MBH high efficient LP gas boilers. Outside air is furnished through three energy Recovery Units located in the attic. Domestic hot water is furnished from four centrally located indirect hot water heaters.

Smuggler’s Notch Condominiums

The Smuggler’s Notch Condominiums project consists of one 8-unit, one-10 unit, and a 16-unit building located at the North Hill Community. HVAC for each unit is handled with a ducted, four pipe vertical fan coil unit. Chilled water is furnished from an outside air cooled chiller and hot water is furnished from 95% efficient LP gas fired boilers. Domestic hot water is supplied from central indirect hot water heaters. Walkways are kept clear of snow with a snow melting system.

Waterbury Fire Department

This new fire station is located on Main Street in Waterbury, VT. A 92% efficient LP gas fire boiler provides heat. The apparatus level has full floor radiant heat. The second floor meeting room, offices, and support areas are heated with heat recovery units with supplemental heat provided from hot water duct coils and baseboard radiation. A series of AirVac air treatment units removes truck emissions.

Heritage Aviation

This was a major renovation/addition resulting in an $18 million, 80,000 SF, high tech aircraft repair/maintenance facility located at the Burlington Airport in South Burlington, VT. TEA was CxA for the LEED team which received a LEED Gold certification from the US Green Build Organization.

Border Patrol Stations

TEA was CxA on the team that received LEED certification for two new construction projects. Beecher Falls, VT is a 39,400 SF facility which received a Gold certification. Another facility located in Swanton, VT is a 49,300 SF building which received a Silver certification.
