HVAC

HVAC unit on rooftop
  • Heating — source of heat is provided from: gas, oil, and wood chip fired boilers, gas fired packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, and other terminal heating units such as air handling units, baseboard radiation, radiant floors, cabinet & unit heaters
  • Air conditioning — source of air conditioning (cooling) may be provided from: chillers, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, and other terminal units such as chilled beams, fan coil units, and air handling units
  • Ventilation — is provided from exhaust fans, make-up air units, energy/heat recovery units, air handling units with outside air intakes, and other air moving devices

Plumbing

Plumbing
  • Waste & vent piping
  • Domestic cold, hot water & hot water recirculating piping
  • Hot water heaters
  • Domestic water booster systems
  • Sewage ejectors
  • Sump pumps

Piping

Piping
  • Compressed air
  • Medical gases
  • LP & Natural gas
  • Oil
  • Industrial process water piping

Energy Modeling – Net Zero

  • LEED required modeling for Energy & Atmosphere (EA) prerequisite 2 “Minimum Energy Performance (Design)” and Credit 1 “Optimize Energy Performance (Design)”
  • Coordinate design criteria with the design team for selecting insulation, windows, wall thickness, building orientation and other items to help decide the best components for the building construction

Forensic Engineering

Forensic engineering services can provide the legal and insurance professions with expert advice when accidents occur or if there is a question on the performance of a given system.

  • Residential building freeze up
  • Commercial kitchen fire
  • Underground piping system failure

Design/Build Contract Support

Provide plans and specs for permitting and mechanical systems installation for the building. This relieves the contractor from relying on field personnel for installation design.

Electrical Available

Full MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing) services available.

TEA has extensive experience coordinating with Electrical Engineers. We team up with an Electrical Engineering firm to provide full MEP services.
